Blogs are truly wonderful things aren’t they? I didn’t always think that way though. I remember when blogs first came out one of the first ones I knew who took to it immediately was one of my first editors Pam. To say that Pam is a friend is kind of stupid really, she’s way more than that. In a way, she’s like family, like that annoying kid sister whom inspite of the fact you occasionally find difficult and have arguments with, remain close to just because.

I Want My Gmail Notifier Back
Ever since I installed Google Desktop & Google Talk, I’ve had to contend with the Google Talk notifier that tells me if there’s a message or not, which it always says there is.

webdesigning & developing
After the writing bug of the past two weeks, I’ve been bitten by the design bug this past weekend, the m|ph blog’s latest header being my latest victim. I change the header to reflect the latest cover every month, and this one took approximately 3~5 hours spread over three days to do (not counting the time actually dreaming up the design), partly because I repair other things along the way, such as the Google Search box which was improved by Google these past few months and therefore deserved an update.
a crying shame
Making the rounds of the maillists these days is mediag8way’s linuxworld, which promises to be an exciting event, with 4 conference tracks that include introduction to business applications, more technical and systems admininstration, “meet the experts” (which should be interesting in itself), and an advocacy / public interest part which is open to the public.
would you say yes to a Google OS?
if google told you today that: “hey since you like our services so much, why not check out our operating system as well?” would you do it?
chances are, a lot of people would say yes, and that is why I think Google might just go for it – the unspeakable – the unthinkable – make their own OS.
wha? whe? who?
this somewhat cryptic Manila Standard article grabbed my attention as I was trying to peruse my sis’ article online.
i am so proud of my sis
oh no wait, lemme say it like Ballmer would:
I am so f__king proud of my sister Wickie! :D for her excellent article that came out at Manila Standard today:
this isn’t IT news at all
Instead, it’s more for the sleaze – ball area of publications, maybe somewhere in the gossip columns or materiel for the enquirer.
two new ygroups!
I’m announcing two new yahoogroups: Ph-Photoshop amd Ph-CSS. Basically decided to make them since I deal with these two things a lot on a daily basis, aside from the fact I like making howtos on photoshop among others and I’m sure others out there wanna share their stuff.
