    • I’m gonna have to change my blog layout pretty soon. Things are getting too crowded. Serves me right for pasting on the first template I saw, which happened to be Connections, quite possibly the most popular (read: over-used) blog template in the whole of wordpress-dom, after the default one of course.

finally finished Jill’s blog just a few hours ago, and as of this very moment, she’s putting in the tagboard, flickr, sitemeter, some kind of tracker script and all them other blog doodads.

  • The Ugly Side Of Blogging

Blogs are truly wonderful things aren’t they? I didn’t always think that way though. I remember when blogs first came out one of the first ones I knew who took to it immediately was one of my first editors Pam. To say that Pam is a friend is kind of stupid really, she’s way more than that. In a way, she’s like family, like that annoying kid sister whom inspite of the fact you occasionally find difficult and have arguments with, remain close to just because.

  • I Want My Gmail Notifier Back

Ever since I installed Google Desktop & Google Talk, I’ve had to contend with the Google Talk notifier that tells me if there’s a message or not, which it always says there is.

  • webdesigning & developing

After the writing bug of the past two weeks, I’ve been bitten by the design bug this past weekend, the m|ph blog’s latest header being my latest victim. I change the header to reflect the latest cover every month, and this one took approximately 3~5 hours spread over three days to do (not counting the time actually dreaming up the design), partly because I repair other things along the way, such as the Google Search box which was improved by Google these past few months and therefore deserved an update.

  • today was supposed to be Google day

I was supposed to write 2,500 to 3000 words about Google, which by two accounts I can think of, is a difficult task. 1.) Google just launched Google Talk and Google Desktop, both of which are supposedly momentous events in Internet history, Google being who they are and Instant Messengers / VOIP being what it is. I therefore still have a lot of thoughts to go over with in respect to that, and my mind is pretty much scattered today. 2.) Like I said, my mind is pretty much scattered today, and every other hour my itchy trigger finger keeps clicking the Grand Theft Auto icon, and play it for awhile. I can’t explain it. One second I’m clicking the browser to read up on Google history and soak up the Google company blog, and the next second I’m studying how to make Carl Johnson fire a Tec-9 submachine gun from a 600cc motorcycle, to effectively off a bad guy fleeing in a Dodge Viper, in the middle of the city. Tsk tsk.

  • just finishing reformatting reinstalling, started 5am today

then i realized i didnt know something after doing this for xx years,

what’s a compelling reason to use the long reformat method as opposed to the much shorter quick format?

  • i know i got a ton of shit to do..

    not including

    • reformat and reinstall stuff for my virus infected PC. When I do a specific thing (and that’s a first), in particular open a large file in photoshop and do something memory intensive, such as, say, magic wand a particular area, the thing REBOOTS :-O. unsure if its a hardware ish, a reformat/reinstall might hopefully do the trick.
