    S90 Now Full Wave – Can This Finally Be It?

    So the fact I had not been writing about the S90 is a give away of how I had been feeling. To be precise, it has been one disaster after another. I won’t mince words when I say the previous guy that tried to do it was a complete waste of time and money. His lone mechanic was working on several projects at the same time. Sure he may had been competent but the fact he could not devote his time to mine just resulted in a half baked effort.

    Here’s a video I received this morning. It’s running now, with a ‘full wave’ 12v electrical system. When I asked the mechanic if it was normal now, he said it was ‘perfect’.

    But before that, let’s go back with a thorough history.

  • S90 Update 5 – Bought parts, Received Blasted & Painted Parts

    Ok where do I start.

    I now have the frame, fenders, swingarm etc. back. I had to return the fenders though because the ‘aluminum’ color I chose turned out to be too white. I replaced it with ‘secret silver’ which should be the ‘silvery grey stock metal’ color I am going for.

  • S90 Update 4 – Prepping for Sandblast

    Lots of things have happened since my last post ten days ago. Five days ago I picked up the seat and brought it to a upholster who removed the foam and showed me this.

    Clearly it’s a mess. I’ve decided I need to compare it to a TMX seat and see if I can use that instead. I just need that hook thing at the top and those two bolts to the rear that connects to the frame.

  • S90 Update 1

    I went down to take off the cover for the first time since I parked it. I poked around with a screwdriver and brought my nice camera to take pics. I got some issues.

    Primarily I discovered a rectifier when I opened the battery box.

  • New S90 Project

    So this is funny. April 2019 I officially gave up on the S90z project by selling everything I had to Jared, a really nice guy I met on FB. He bought everything including the box I stored it in for P2.5k. These parts had been sitting up on our condo storage area since 2014 and I figured what the hell, nothing had happened since then so I seriously doubted anything would happen soon.

    Two months later I see this on FB, selling at nearby Las Pinas for P15k:

  • It’s A Honda S90Z not an S90

    After some consultation with the incredibly valuable resource Honda S90 Yahoogroup and brushing up on my reading skills as I had previously mistakenly left out a ‘Z’ when I read the Chassis Number, it turns out I have a S90Z and not an S90 as I had thought.
