Finally finally finally.
I’ve finally gotten around to making my articles page here.
I’d always demurred from said activity as I had thought it rather vain, but I’ve decided it’s best to upload them as they greatly help me figure out when (and sometimes, for whom) I wrote an article for at any given time, without having to dig deep into the deep inner workings of my d:\ partition where everything is stored, and where many a search had failed to result positively from sheer clutter.
At least this way, my blog serves as a backup of these records. Also, and let’s be honest here, it’ll help me find writing work, and I’m very much in the market.
I’ve uploaded almost all my PCWorld articles and made new pages for each and linked to them, which is ok considering most of them were featured in the PCWorld website back when it was still up. The PCWorld articles are some of the longest and most thoroughly researched I had ever done, many reaching 5,000 words. I also read through some of (absolutely horrible) earlier PDI stuff, but some are so surprising, especially one I originally intended to go to Youngblood but instead became an article. What a blast from the past they all are.
If these can help any aspiring writers out there, please feel free to study (NOT COPY) them.
Some disclaimers here: The dates are rather mixed up, and sometimes reflect either the date I submitted them or the date they actually came out, so if it’s wrong, it’d be within a month at least. This is definitely not complete, as sadly I’ve not been very good at keeping records back then. There are a hell of whole bunch that didn’t make it to that list, either for other publications or I just forgot to keep a copy.
