so… Adobe Buys Macromedia..

to go up against big ol MS.

gabillion dollars involved.. something to do with PDF.. adobe reader and flash. I think freehand’s probably gonna get canned in favor of illustrator, and golive might be discontinued in favor of dreamweaver (personally i still use the simpler homesite, from macromedia’s earlier purchase of alaire).

but thing is, when o when is adobe going to come up with a lin version of photoshop?

there’ve been some adobe server linux versions now, so that means they’re not totally looking away from open source. But the only thing keeping me from totally switching from w32 is Photoshop. Photoshop and works produced from such still bowls me over to this day. I see a cool t-shirt design, a movie poster, a sticker, and of course websites, and I automatically end up working out how I could do it in pshop. Can you say that about other programs? I mean, would you do somersaults looking at some guy’s fantastic Word document, say?

Pshop no doubt is a distinct and essential part of me now. That may sound somewhat theatric, but I really believe that. Others will empathize.

so when when when’s a lin version coming out?! kahit binary, ok lang, you dont have to release the source!! make a paid version, so we can find a pirated one in greenhills, starmall and MRT stations already! Come on guys! :)
