Just a real quick post to show this:

Pic I took of the BC Websight Internet Cafe down at Farmer’s Plaza Mall Cubao QC, the one you have to pass through from the MRT to get to Gateway.
I loooove loser malls like those. Two similar places I can think of are Makati Cinema Square (in Makati of course) and Starmall across Shangrila at the intersection of Crossing and Shaw Boulevard Mandaluyong.
Where else can one peruse the latest in dubitably acquired software and DVD (pronounce it with me: deebeedee) movies for (cough) research??
At any rate, Farmer’s Plaza doesn’t have the above, but instead has more internet cafes per square meter than anywhere I’ve seen, and at the near empty top floors, has more doubly doubtful Multi Level Marketing (MLMs) offices than one can shake a stick at, perhaps to make up for the lack illegally purchasable software and DVDs – as if to say that malls like these just have to have something fishy going on somewhere.
It takes a quick step to familiarize yourself with these MLMs way of business via reading their posters and make skidmarks out of there before some agent targets your presence, thrusts you a brochure and invites you to listen in on their ‘free presentation’.
Some are involved in shoes, others real estate, others toys, pillows, etc, but they’re all dubious. ALL of them, which is really why they’re all up there to begin with. What does it say about what likes to lurk in shadows?
At any rate, this is hopefully my last post for today, as I HAVE TO WRITE MY ARTICLES. Btw, the pic was taken by the Panasonic eb VS3, with a 1.3mp cam which, if you hold steadily enough and with good light, produces fairly good (ok. so-so.) results, as above.
Makati Cinema Square is very, erm, explorable
