My review of the Sony DSC-W50 is out today, link here. It was a very fun camera, easy to use and fire away at things. I found its best use is for parties, at the mall, or in other words, indoors and in low light.
It was around P23k at the time I reviewed it months ago, but it should lower now with the introduction of the DSC-W70.

I’ve got another review of the Canon Ixus 60 coming up, which is very similar to the Sony and around the same price.

After that, 3 more gadgets and 2 interviews to go.

chief what outdoors camera do you recommend?
the SLRs chief, are best suited for outdoors, with their tougher casings and capacity for longer range lens. Doesn’t really have to be an SLR of course. Just emphasis on the better range lens (or replacable lens) and tougher casing.
Not for serious photography chief… an outdoor cam for tourist activities.
like i said, not necessarily SLRs. Just any model with a tougher casing and longer lens than these dainty ones. The models above these feature longer, better range lens, which was sacrificed in the W models to allow it to easily fit in bags and pockets.
