SE W550i write up out

My review of the Sony Ericsson W550i finally came out yesterday, rather belatedly since I submitted it about two months ago, but it’s all good.

I really really liked that phone, and for P15,000.00 (at the time I reviewed it), I think it was a steal with its internal 256mb, built in radio, music player capabilities, and comfortable (sideways) way of playing downloadable Java games. Caveats are lack of expandable memory, a proprietary connector for headphones and USB, its bulk and weight and the sideways opening thing loses its appeal after a few weeks.

end make d parflays dance sylvimousse is barkley, so keys me..

Now that her infamous video is making the blogging rounds all over, the question is will Alyssa Alano’s career get a boost from the internet?

Think about it. Before I saw it last week, I had never heard of her, and even ABS-CBN’s “WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE (viva) HOT BABES??” poll gives her a 0 rating.

But after her ‘Awesome!’ GMA performance captured on Youtube, that can all change, and she didn’t even need to take her clothes off. I’m sure there’s a lesson to be learned for movie promoters here, although what I’m not entirely sure. The point is, she’s getting famous, albeit not as planned, but famous still, which I think for most Viva hot babes is good enough.

Anyway, her own page on the internet is here.

And finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for…

VistaTorrent.com. Just because.

Either you’re curious, or you like to inflict self-pain, but apparently there’s a MS Vista Torrent site aimed to help you download either the x32 or x64 Vista Torrent today.

That’s right malicious code delevopers! Why wait till December (the planned release date) to make viruses for it when you can start coding your attack now?!

Seriously, I really have no motive for getting it other than I could probably make an article out of it, but even then I’ve better ways of doing so. So the purpose of this post, other than FYIng everyone on this lurid development, is to merely ride on the blogosphere wave, and get some hits, which I’ve done if you’ve read up to this point. Incidentally, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the purpose of the site’s owners too.

Letter from Botak re Basketball Exchange

I was ecstatic when I received this letter two days ago from QC based jersey manufacturer Botak, from time immemorial, the preferred jersey provider of the UAAP, NCAA, PBL, PBA, and just about any decent basketball league in the country today. It reads:

Hello there!

I’m … from Cejogua Sports Corporation, a.k.a BOTAK. If you’re not familiar with the brand, we’ve been providing quality made-to-order jerseys for the PBA, UAAP, NCAA, etc. I came across Basketball Exchange via net search and was wondering if we can do a tie-up or exchange of links?

Tipping Tracters is Fern!! (A review of Cars)

Obviously, animated films are all the rage these days. I read somewhere on the ‘net (too lazy to find it right now) that a majority of the money makers in previous years have been animated films, and so it’s not a surprise we’ve one or two every month for the year, along with Marvel or DC superhero movies and other surefire formulas.

So what would a Hollywood Investor in movies do? Why, look for a Hollywood company that can spit one out as quickly and as efficiently as possible, of course. And who better to do that than Pixar, the current animated film spit-outer of choice, with many a hit (and occasional miss), notched on it’s much talented crew’s belt.

So, if we think like a financial advisor instead of a ‘artiste‘, and consider Cars as a financial investment, would we have a winner? Definitely, much definitely so.

Will Failure To Launch get you some action?

As Jill and I were waiting for the moviehouse to empty, we happened onto a wonderful scene. Guys, as we all know, wait outside restrooms for their girlfriends to come out since, even if they both go at the same time, girls take longer. That’s the way it is the world over, and we’re prepared to live a whole lifetime of that. And so as we sat there, we saw a young woman come out, look quickly around the area, and smile as she found her young man standing in said fashion outside. They smiled to each other, and started to walk away. A flower in her hands, the respectable distance, and shy smiles belying the truth – that was a date, and probably early on in the game as well.

All of which, brought me to thinking about the main reason why there are date movies to begin with. Will a movie, say Failure to Launch, get you anywhere with your date?

Review of Poseidon (aka They Killed Fergie! )

To date, director Wolfgang Petersen has sunk and shot at boats in Das Boot, and turned turtle a smaller boat in The Perfect Storm.

Not content with this, he turns another one on top of its head again in Poseidon. I figure that, as long as there are such things as “rogue waves” (without reference to an X-men character), we’re probably gonna see him flip an oil rig, or how about a whole island next? Wouldn’t that be a great idea for Lost fans?

Gadget Buying Tips (renamed ‘Lowdown on Gadgets’) article is now out

Well it was supposed to be an article about gadget buying, but was edited to come out as “The lowdown on gadgets”, a kind of opinion / commentary about gadgets. Which is good, I suppose, considering it wasn’t edited as much. Who can possibly predict what editors think really? IMHO, we might as well be on completely different planets both in writing style and in what we’re trying to say.

There’s an error in a paragraph where I say “Two things to remember about buying laptops”, the first (size and weight are king) is mentioned, but the second was completely edited out.

At any rate, like I said, it’s all good. Some people might disagree with this one, but I’m fairly sure I’m being forthcoming and honest when I say, for example, that people should, even if they had the money, buy what’s best for them as opposed to the top of the line models.
