Of course I got stories to tell re the Malaysian trip, but first things first, what everyone’s gotta see, here are the 5 new Nokia models due this April:

2 Sony Gadgets, 6 Nokia Phones, 1 Highly Thankful Writer
Several years ago, I had the opportunity to spend a day driving a Porsche. It started out as a cool morning, but gradually became hotter as the day progressed, and became nice and cool into the evening. I remember small things like that, because that day was special. I was driving a Porsche, and everyday is an ordinary day compared to the day you drive a Porsche.
The above paragraph is possibly one of the ways I’m going to start the article for my review of the absolutely astounding Sony DSC-R1 – Sony’s 10.3 megapixel marvel.

Plugging PLUG
Three years ago I got involved in my first and only PR job. A friend’s diving company needed news exposure, and since I had been writing for quite a while at that point, I felt I had a good handle on how to get it for them. I also wanted to try it out, and besides I needed the money.
So we looked into their schedule of events, one of which just jumped out at me. Apparently, every so often they sink a car into the ocean to repopulate coral depleted areas. What’s more, an avid diver who happened to own an airplane repair shop decided to donate, of all things, the metal carcass of a long – dead helicopter.
If it’s from the internet, then it must be true!
AOL the ISP has started an Advertiser certification business with its partner Goodmailsystems, and I’m reeling not from any technological breakthroughs achieved, but the terrific prose the competition has come up with to criticize it.
“This takes a system that works and shoves a stick in the flywheel of communication.” – from Subscribermail, a competitor. Another one says “It’s taxation of the good guys with cash, and it does nothing to help the good guys who can’t afford the cost or to deter the bad guys who spam anyway.”

Blog Shorts. A buncha posts in one.
With time to spare hanging Festival Mall one time I happened onto a P100.00 November issue of PCMag US and I’ve been enjoying it since. I severely miss reading these mags – one of the reasons why I started writing for tech mags.
Epixtar Doesn’t Like Bloggers
Some new developments on this silly Epixtar thing. But before that, a backgrounder: Like I said in post last January 10, Migs made a post about how the local Epixtar’s callcenter might be in for a rough ride after how their offices in Florida, US filed for bankruptcy. There was a reference to an alleged phone cramming situation, indicating this might be the reason for said bankruptcy.
At any rate, on January 12 someone named “Karl” made a very long comment with a list of names and their salaries, looking like it was lifted directly from a spreadsheet. This happened with Migs as well, although in his case the poster was “Gary” (definitely not me).
Peja traded for CJ Johnson
The shooter position in the Indiana Pacers team is an esteemed place in the basketball world.
Mainly because you’re gonna get comparisons to Reggie Miller, a tall order if there ever was one.
Kobe ain’t got nuthin. Against Kobe. Virtually.
I got the idea to do something similar to Jeremy Clarkson‘s Top Gear episode wherein he tried to beat his time of 1 minute 41 seconds in Gran Turismo on the same track on the same car except in real life.

I wanna see DLSU play
I’ll tell you what. Inasmuch as I completely despise the (alleged) cheating situation at DLSU, and the ensuing investigation that left more questions than answers, I gotta say that La Salle’s leave of absense from the UAAP is not the right step to alleviate the situation.
Sure DLSU deserves to get punished. And I promise you, that says a lot coming from me, who has followed the UAAP and DLSU long enough for me to be embarrassed to admit it. (which is a big no-no since on my blog, I am forever young.)
I’ll Make You A Free Blog. For Free. Yeah.
I just gotta say I’m really proud of how the U.P. Portia blog has been doing. According to our site stats, it gets its fair share of hits, totalling 918 so far since January 7.
